The weekend of August 19–20th saw Beta out on the links, supporting our customers and raising money for the American Red Cross, the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program, and the Communities Foundation of Texas.

On August 19, Beta sponsored and participated in American Electric Power’s 2022 Energy Delivery Golf Event in Columbus, OH, which raises money for the American Red Cross.

That same day, Beta was also participating as an Eagle sponsor in the 2022 Alabama Power Service Organization (APSO) Angel Tree Golf Tournament in Birmingham, AL. For the past 30 years, Alabama Power has been hosting this tournament to raise money for clothes and toys for underprivileged children in central Alabama in partnership with the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program.

On Saturday, August 20, Beta also supported the 2022 Hunt Cares golf tournament as a Platinum sponsor, with four Beta team members participating in the tournament. Sharyland Utilities and Hunt Utility Services Strategic Partners hosted the event in Irving, TX, and partnered with the Communities Foundation of Texas to distribute the proceeds to charities that donors had designated and which directly impact the local community.

Growing our community is a pivotal part of Beta’s company purpose, and we welcome the opportunity to partner with our customers and communities across the U.S. in these meaningful ways. Other community work we’ve been doing this summer has included educating high school students about 3D modeling and its applications and raising money for local engineering scholarships in Louisiana and Ohio.
