Beta Engineering has been continuing to support education in its local communities this summer.
In June the Alexandria Chapter of the Louisiana Engineering Society (LES) hosted its annual golf tournament. Beta was one of the event sponsors, and four of Beta’s engineers participated in the fundraising tournament. The event supports LES MATHCOUNTS and scholarship activities, including a regional MATHCOUNTS tournament that the Alexandria Chapter of LES hosts each year for 6–8th grade math students from Central Louisiana parishes. LES also provides two $1,000 scholarships for college engineering juniors or seniors from Central Louisiana.
Beta also sponsored the 55th Annual Canton Regional Society of Professional Engineers (CRSPE) Golf Outing, with two Beta team members in attendance. This event in Canton, OH, raised $6,000 for four engineering student scholarships.
