This year, Beta Engineering continues to support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s annual Light The Night campaign—with an added twist. Every time Beta energizes a project this year, they have committed to donating $500 to the Light The Night fundraiser. The goal is to support LLS's mission of "bringing light to the darkness of cancer," even as Beta helps expand the power grid that keeps the lights on across the U.S. Beta has already energized four projects this year and donated $2,000 in recognition of these milestones.
Beta has participated in the San Diego Light The Night walks for more than a decade. Last November, Beta participated in the San Diego Light The Night campaign as a corporate team and raised more than $20,000.
This year, Beta’s Executive Vice President George Brashear will once again be participating as an Executive Challenger in San Diego’s Light The Night campaign. In 2023, Brashear’s personal page raised more than $12,000, and this year, he's aiming for $17,500.
To support Beta's team fundraiser, donate directly to LLS here. All funds support the national LLS organization.
Currently, LLS is funding nearly 200 research grants around the world and has helped advance 70% of blood cancer treatment options approved by the FDA since 2017. According to LLS, more than 1.6 million people in the U.S. are living with or in remission from blood cancers as of 2023, and approximately every three minutes, someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer.
Beta Engineering is a private, family-owned engineering, procurement and construction company headquartered in Pineville, LA, with offices in San Diego, CA, and Ohio. Beta has been building substation and transmission line projects for power delivery companies across the U.S. since 1975.
