Construction of a substation and tie line for a southern California utility is continuing at full speed. The project involves the engineering, procurement and construction of a 138/69/12 kV substation and 14 miles of a 138 kV tie line that includes approximately seven miles of underground transmission duct. It is scheduled to be energized at the end of this year.

Beta Engineering provides engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for high voltage substations and transmission lines. Beta’s staff includes electrical engineers, civil engineers, project managers and substation designers.
