Crest Industries hosted a gathering of more than 100 leaders of its operating companies to discuss the current state of the business. Operating companies represented included Beta Engineering, DIS-TRAN, Mid-State Supply, Millennium Galvanizing, Precision Cutting Specialties and Crest Natural Resources.
Beta Engineering reported extensive project activity throughout the country, including in the southwestern U.S., an area served in part by Beta’s San Diego office. Beta anticipates increasing its employee count by 20% in 2015 to support growing project work. Beta’s business focus has been the design and construction of FACTS and GIS projects in addition to traditional high voltage substations and transmission lines.
Crest companies reported continued growth, noting both increased sales revenue and employee counts. In the past year, Crest Industries acquired the assets of two new operating companies and constructed the facility for a new company to open later this year.
Crest Industries is the holding company for a family of project-oriented companies serving the electric utility, commercial and industrial electrical contractor, and forestry industries.
