Crest Industries, the holding company for Beta Engineering, hosted a gathering of more than 140 leaders of its operating companies to discuss the current state of the business. Operating companies represented included Beta Engineering, DIS-TRAN Steel, DIS-TRAN Overhead Solutions, DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations, Mid-State Supply, Millennium Galvanizing, Precision Cutting Specialties and Crest Natural Resources.
Beta Engineering reported extensive project activity throughout the country, focusing on the design and construction of FACTS and GIS projects in addition to traditional high voltage substations and transmission lines. Beta anticipates further increasing its employee count in 2016 to support growing project work.
Crest companies reported continued growth, noting both increased sales revenue and employee counts. In the past year, Millennium Galvanizing began operations in a new plant in Louisiana, and Precision Cutting Services opened a new, larger facility to support growth.
