Beta recently supported the Shelter of Hope for the American Red Cross in San Diego. The program raises money to provide shelter to people in crisis and increases awareness about services that the local Red Cross provides in the community.
For a week in June, Red Cross CEO Bill Earley lived in a disaster shelter and traveled throughout the region, popping up in some unexpected places. Earley’s Shelter of Hope serves as a reminder that the Red Cross is available to provide assistance in a crisis.
Every 24 hours, the Red Cross in San Diego and Imperial Counties responds to a disaster in the region with a Shelter of Hope. The Shelter of Hope effort was launched to Help Open People’s Eyes (HOPE) and raise funds for those in need throughout the year. It also brings awareness to the vital services the local Red Cross provides in the community with the help of its partners and supporters.
