Beta was proud to sponsor Fluor’s annual Golf for Greater Houston tournament in Texas. The event raised money for local charities including LifeHouse of Houston, Lunches of Love, Pecan Grove Volunteer Fire Station and USO.
LifeHouse of Houston provides opportunities for housing, help, and hope for young women during their pregnancy and beyond. The goal is to care for the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of a minor until she delivers her baby or secures alternate living arrangements.
Lunches of Love (LoL) feeds 3,400+ children in 14 elementary schools who are in need or qualify for the state's free or reduced lunch program. LoL's vision for the future is to expand to include additional Title 1 schools to help end childhood hunger.
The Pecan Grove Volunteer Fire Department, located just outside the Pecan Grove neighborhood, provides quick responses to fires or medical emergencies.
The Houston USO provides a touch of home to nearly 60,000 troops and military families annually who visit our USO Centers. Additionally, the USO offers morale-boosting and family-strengthening programs to the8,000 soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines, and coast guardsmen and their familieswho are based in greater Houston and southeast Texas. Locally, the organization provides programming around four key pillars: family strengthening; health, wellness, and resiliency; community activities and entertainment; and education, employment, and reintegration.
